Who would have thought we would sweat so much in Finland! After running to catch trains about to leave and joining in on an Hungarian dance-off, it’s no wonder. Oh, we can’t forget saunas. Finland is famous for its saunas.

And Wow! What a beautiful country. We have already fallen in love with the scenery and more importantly, the people. After a brief orientation today, we hit the streets with worldview surveys. It is safe to say all of us engaged in some pretty incredible conversations. We are trying to learn about the hearts and minds within Finnish culture. Although we are operating in a postmodern context and most people believe in moral relativism, it is clear our Father is at work here. We have also been able to spend time with a few brothers and sisters who have been so incredibly encouraging.

This week please pray that our sleep leaves us well rested ( with 20 hours of sunlight each day, our bodies have trouble wanting to sleep). Please ask that hearts and minds will be open to the truth and please lift up rachel who is fighting a nasty sinus problem. Nothing is infected but she is very uncomfortable and cannot seem to stop her nose from running.

The rest of the team is doing really well. These next couple of weeks are going to fly by but we are so excited to be here and we cannot wait to share more about what our Father is doing in this city!
