2nd Service

September 10 - December 10

11:00 AM - Christians in the Workplace

When it comes to talking about work and the Christian life, we are often left with more questions than answers. We talk about connecting Sunday morning with the rest of our week, but all too often, we are left wondering what that even looks like. What does it mean to integrate our faith and our work?

In this 13-week course we will examine God's plan for our work. We'll discover the original plan and purpose for work, why work is hard, why it often seems futile, and how we, as the redeemed people of God, can worship and glorify God in and through our work. We will also learn how to apply biblical principals at work by discussing topics such as relationships, gender, ethics, job hunting, and evangelism in the workplace.

Purpose & Overview

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates” (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1-2).

The Equip classes at Redeemer Baptist Church are designed to train us up as disciples of Jesus Christ, encouraging us to be faithful witnesses for the gospel in every area of life, including family, community, work, and church.
