We believe the tasks of local and global engagement and the advancement of the gospel is too important to take lightly. As a church, we purpose to do all that we can to equip each of our members for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12). In Redeemer Baptist Church’s Ministry Training Program participants will undergo a two-year commitment (4 semesters) of ministerial discipleship by the elders and ministry leaders to develop the doctrine of ecclesiology, theology, and missiology, to develop a greater understanding of the rigors and expectations of ministry, and to gain clarity about calls to ministry (local or global).

We require all those who desire to be sent by Redeemer as a global worker to begin their specialized training for global engagement by participation in our “Ministry Training Program.”

Goals for 4 Cohort Semesters:

  • To learn and to articulate historical Christian doctrines and Redeemer’s doctrinal distinctives (16 topics)

  • To gain clarity on one’s callings and sharpen one’s skills for local and global ministry

  • To be equipped by leaders and elders at Redeemer for service

  • To develop leadership and teaching skills for local and global settings

Who can be a Ministry Training Program Applicant?:

  • Any RBC Member who desires to be sent out and commissioned by RBC

  • Any Redeemer Baptist Church Member who desires participation in ministerial service or clarity in ministerial service.

Participants commitments:

  • To be punctual and to commit to each activity with excellence.

  • To receive feedback, encouragement and exhortations from elders and ministry leaders with peace.

  • To minister to Redeemer Baptist Church and her members.

  • To endeavor towards and speak clearly about one’s call to ministry, whether in a local or global capacity.

To meet with an elder for an “Exit Interview” on completion of 4th semester, to discern appropriate next steps for training and service
